Before I started consulting, or before I ever worked a day for any luxury brand, I always wanted to own my own women’s clothing store. Launching it during such unusual times were unexpected, despite, I’m grateful for the lessons they have taught me.
This said, if you are aspiring to launch a boutique or any other entrepreneurial endeavor, I encourage you to consider these tips to help spare any head (or heartache) for you as you build your business:
- Don’t underestimate the power of marketing, it is necessary otherwise your growth will be delayed.
- Find social media platforms you ENJOY and commit to feeding it daily.
- Be willing to represent your brand on and offline. Being an entrepreneur is a lifestyle.
- Never lose sight of your way, being clear on your motivation is essential. The remainders will sustain you when you are challenged.
- Remember! No ego, amigo. You will be humbled by the many lessons and things about yourself you will inevitably learn. STAY OBJECTIVE.
- Remain flexible on methods, yet rigid on your goals.
- Get organized. Not having a boss means you are 100% accountable for your success, plan for it.
- Be clear on your vision and consistent in your execution.
- Create a routine that you will look forward to and HAVE FUN!
The biggest hurdle I have overcome in the past few months has been making consistent efforts to organically grow my instagram. I am well aware many people LOVE this platform, but if I’m honest, I will admit I wasn’t always my favorite. I really had to get over myself and separate my emotions that were impeding my ability to utilize an overall powerful tool for me to grow and scale my business. I can proudly admit that I am the proudest I have ever been of the engagement simply creating the environment I wanted to spend more time in. Now that I’ve gotten honest, what are some self-imposed challenges standing in your way?
Stop playing small, there’s no better time to chart a new course for yourself.
Let’s DO this! xGG
