Out of curiosity, I tried wood therapy and cavitation last weekend. I’d recently become curious about body contouring and what it meant so I booked an appointment and redeemed a pretty nice discount offer while I was at it.
Depending on where you live, the price will vary but most importantly when considering these or any body treatments I’d first think about your budget and time commitment. I think bearing these in mind will have great impact on your results.
What is wood therapy? While commonly done on the legs…the wooden instruments are used to apply direct pressure to “problem areas” and essentially naturally eliminate excess body fat:
Just prior to this the aesthetician also did cavitation and while my video of that is a bit risqué the benefits of this “fat melting” part of the process is maximized for someone who can commit to it weekly.
I was definitely sore for a few days and I spent the rest of the day hydrating to benefit from the flush of my lymphatic system.
Would I do this again? Possibly! Do I recommend? For sure! And while I can’t speak to any loss of inches or fat due to having tried this…I do advocate for any self-care routine that can be maintained consistently.
I’ll be trying radio frequency next so stay tuned for my post session review! xx
