One of the most frustrating things (for me) in managing my websites is ensuring the content that I create reaches its intended audience. Question is, how do we do that?
There is no one method that suits all, although there are a combination of activities that can greatly help increase visibility and drive traffic to your website. Below are some suggestions:
- Get Social – don’t limit your web time to just one social media platform. Find a variety of places where you can consistently enjoy your time hanging out while you promote your brand and be consistent with it.
- Advertise – word of mouth and have a social media presence are no longer enough, it is imperative that you invest in your online marketing.
- Don’t be afraid to mix things up! Vary the length and format of your content.
- Optimize your page SEO. In addition to creating great content and having a great design, do not neglect to focus on community building and encourage commenting on your posts to help increase SEO.
- Start guest blogging or seek out guest bloggers for your site.
- Increase the amount of time spent on your page by linking internally to other posts.
- Interview Industry Thought Leaders.
- Keep a close eye on site analytics so you can see when it may be necessary to make pivots.
- Post content to LinkedIn!
